 My name is Carolyn Friend. I have been teaching ceramics and selling my work for over twenty years. I came to Ireland in 1998 and decided to make a break from my highly decorated thrown work to concentrate on slab work.
My latest work is earthenware planters, which although functional, illustrate my interest in the simplicity of architectural forms. All the planters are original. The planters require little water but need a sunny position, therefore are low maintenance.
Planters have been purchased for conservatory use, but their other applications could be in the reception areas of companies, galleries and public buildings. Each planter is an original design.
All planters are available for sale or lease.
